About Agrocorp

Agrocorp is an ISO 9001:2008 & 14001:2004 certified company which started agro farming in 2012 in Hindupur, Andhra Pradesh with the intention of developing organised agro farms & making a mark in this evergreen sector in terms of demand & to contribute to the future demand of the world. We aim to eliminate the myth in India that agriculture and agroforestry can't be carried out on large scale with a good rate of return on investment. This sector is capable of providing employment and better livelihood to people living in the rural areas. At Agrocorp, we know that by creating required infrastructure and using proper technical support, latest technology, machinery and proper irrigation strategies, we will be able to setup large scale profitable organised agro farms. Agrocorp is mainly growing specialised agro forestry species like Melia Dubia and certain cash crops like Chilli, Maize, Gherkin etc. Agrocorp is a unit of BRN Infrastructures®, Headquartered in Delhi, with many years of experience in real estate development & currently has a land bank of more than 100 acres of farmland in Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh.

At Agrocorp, we don't believe in the myth farming cannot be successful on large scale. We have acquired the resources and knowledge to make farming profitable. Agrocorp acquires there own land bank and make appropriate investment needed on infrastructure development like irrigation, levelling of land, fencing, installation of irrigation systems etc and grow forestry species & cash crops on these lands, as best suited to the soil quality. We select the land as per soil and climate best suited for the particular crops that we intend to grow & follow multi cropping to increase the yield. Agrocorp has been able to get the support of Indian Wood Science Technology for technical supervision to ensure best growth at our farms. Once we have good growth of crops on the land we get investors to buy them and lease them for long term to share the profit. The maintenance of the farm is undertaken by Agrocorp till maturity.
At Agrocorp, we are different from the regular farming companies as we use latest and safe methods in farming crops:
  • We do not use artificial methods to grow plants and crops thus giving us good quality and healthy yield.
  • Use of modern irrigation methods like gun showers, sprinkler, drip irrigation to prevent soil erosion and to conserve water.
  • We use Bio pesticides and insecticides for pest control.
     
  • We educate and train manpower about the adequate use of resources, machinery, cultivation & maintenance techniques, use of fertilisers and medicines etc.
     
  • Mostly we opt multiple cropping for maximum land utilisation and profit.
     
  • We have been able to get technical support supervision from Indian Wood Science Technology, ICFRE
We plan to take on mass cropping by importing machinery like harvesters and seeders specific to crops. Crops like chilli and tomato require a lot of manpower if done on a mass scale and unavailability of manpower can spoil the crop. Having the right machines for the job will enable us to eliminate this risk and increase our production and profitability.
We plan to increase our land base & develop organised agro farms to 500 acres by 2016 and 2000 acres by 2018. Also we plan to adapt “Conservation Agriculture”, which helps us to conserve our soil and reduce erosion and moisture and nutrient loss.

Farmers also cultivate roses for rose oil which fetch approx 6 lakh rupees per kg.
Multicropping

H. Sadanand a farmer from Karnataka not only realized this fact but also implemented on his 2.1 acres of land. He made a record profit of 22 lakh rupees in a year by multicropping. He grows 30 varieties of crops, rears fish, poultry and dog breeds too. Not just that. He has also built a Gobar Gas Plant on his land. If you put in a lot of effort, there is a lot of money in it too.
